Isidora holds a BM and MM in Piano Performance from NYU. She has performed solo and collaborative works ranging from Beethoven, Brahms and Dvorak to Stockhausen, Boulez, and Kurtag in venues across NYC such as Steinway Hall, Provincetown Playhouse, Institute of Fine Arts, and Bohemian National Hall as well as the La Colegiata de San Juan Bautista in Spain. She has been invited to participate in several festivals such as the Institute and Festival for Contemporary Performance and Gijon International Piano Festival. Her teachers include Jeffrey Swann, Jose Ramon Mendez, and Marc Ponthus and she has played in masterclasses for Robert McDonald, Barry Snyder, and Heasook Rhee.
Aside from having her own studio for the last 8 years, she served as a piano instructor at NYU where she taught keyboard skills classes, group classes, and private lessons. She has also been studying the Taubman Approach for the past 8 years with Robert Durso of the Golandsky Institute. The Taubman Approach is a physical approach to the piano that helps pianists cultivate a healthy technique that is free of tension, pain, and fatigue.
Her ultimate goal as a piano teacher is to teach her students how to learn, practice, and express music effectively in a welcoming and collaborative lesson environment. She strives to actively engage students in their learning through discovery and problem-solving and make sure that they are developing healthy physical habits at the instrument.
